1. Introduction
CareerSetu Pro may offer certain optional or applicable paid services to candidates. Where a service fee applies, the relevant service and price should be disclosed before the candidate completes payment.
This Refund Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Service Fee Policy.
2. Account Registration and Paid Services
Creating a CareerSetu Pro candidate account should be treated separately from any paid service unless the website expressly discloses otherwise.
Payment for an applicable service is payment for that service only. It is not payment for employment, a guaranteed job, guaranteed interview, guaranteed placement or any guaranteed recruitment outcome.
3. General Refund Principle
Refund requests are reviewed according to the nature of the transaction, the service purchased, payment status, whether the service has already been delivered or used, and any other relevant circumstances.
Submission of a refund request does not automatically mean that the transaction is eligible for a refund.
4. Circumstances That May Be Eligible
Subject to verification, a refund or payment correction may be considered in situations such as:
- The same service payment was successfully charged more than once for the same transaction
- Payment was successfully received but a technical error prevented the applicable service from being activated or made available
- An incorrect amount was successfully charged because of a verified platform or payment-processing error
- CareerSetu Pro is unable to provide the specific paid service for which payment was successfully received
- Another refund situation is expressly required under applicable law
Each request may require transaction and service verification before a decision is made.
5. Duplicate Payments
If you believe the same payment has been successfully charged more than once, please contact CareerSetu Pro with the relevant transaction details.
Once the duplicate transaction is verified, the duplicate amount may be refunded or otherwise corrected through the appropriate payment process.
6. Failed or Pending Transactions
A payment attempt may sometimes appear as failed, pending or incomplete while an amount has temporarily been debited or blocked by the user's bank, UPI application or payment service provider.
In such cases, the transaction may be automatically reversed by the relevant bank or payment provider according to its own processing timelines.
A failed or pending transaction should not automatically be treated as a successfully received payment by CareerSetu Pro.
7. Services Already Delivered or Used
Where a paid service has already been activated, delivered, substantially performed or used by the candidate, the transaction may not ordinarily be refundable merely because the candidate later decides not to continue using the service.
Any applicable exception will depend on the specific circumstances and applicable law.
8. Employment Outcome Is Not a Refund Basis
CareerSetu Pro does not sell jobs or guarantee employment.
Subject to applicable law and the nature of the purchased service, a refund will not ordinarily become due solely because:
- A candidate is not shortlisted
- An employer does not respond
- A candidate does not receive an interview
- A candidate is unsuccessful in an assessment
- A candidate is unsuccessful in an interview
- An employer does not make a job offer
- The candidate does not obtain employment
- The candidate does not receive the expected salary or career outcome
Any applicable service fee is for the disclosed service and not for a guaranteed recruitment result.
9. Change of Mind
A change of mind after purchasing or using a service does not automatically create a right to a refund.
Where cancellation rights are required by applicable law, those rights will continue to apply.
10. Incorrect Information or User Error
Users are responsible for reviewing payment and service information before completing a transaction.
Refund eligibility may be limited where the issue resulted solely from information incorrectly entered by the user or from a transaction knowingly completed by the user, subject to applicable law.
11. Suspected Unauthorised Transactions
If you believe a payment was made without your authorisation, you should promptly contact your bank, UPI provider or payment service provider and also notify CareerSetu Pro through the official support channel.
CareerSetu Pro may request reasonable information to investigate the transaction and protect the associated candidate account.
12. How to Request a Refund Review
To request review of an eligible transaction, contact CareerSetu Pro through the official contact or support channel published on the website.
Please provide sufficient information to identify and verify the transaction, such as:
- Candidate name
- Registered email address or mobile number
- Transaction or payment reference
- Date of payment
- Amount paid
- Service associated with the payment
- Clear explanation of the issue
- Relevant payment evidence, where reasonably required
13. Reporting Payment Issues
Users should report payment or service problems as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue.
Specific refund request periods may be displayed with a particular paid service once the final service and payment workflow is implemented.
14. Verification of Refund Requests
CareerSetu Pro may verify the payment record, service status, candidate account and other relevant information before approving a refund.
Additional information may be requested where reasonably necessary to investigate duplicate payments, technical errors, suspected fraud or other payment disputes.
15. Refund Method
Where a refund is approved, it will normally be processed through an appropriate payment method in accordance with the available payment infrastructure and applicable requirements.
Users should not send sensitive banking credentials, passwords, PINs or OTPs when requesting a refund.
16. Refund Processing Time
Once a refund is approved and initiated, the time required for the amount to appear in the user's account may depend on the bank, payment provider, UPI service or other financial institution involved.
CareerSetu Pro cannot control processing delays that occur solely within an external financial institution after an approved refund has been correctly initiated.
17. Payment Service Providers
Payment transactions may be processed through third-party payment service providers, banks or financial networks.
Their independent processing rules, technical systems and transaction timelines may apply in addition to this Refund Policy.
18. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
If you believe a transaction is incorrect, you are encouraged to contact CareerSetu Pro support so the issue can be reviewed.
Fraudulent, misleading or abusive payment disputes may result in account review or restriction where reasonably necessary to protect the platform and other users.
Nothing in this section prevents a user from exercising rights available through their bank, payment provider or applicable law.
19. Fraudulent Refund Requests
CareerSetu Pro may reject requests supported by fabricated transaction information, altered payment evidence, impersonation or other fraudulent activity.
Accounts associated with suspected fraud may also be reviewed or restricted where reasonably necessary and permitted by law.
20. Applicable Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to remove or limit any refund, cancellation or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
Where applicable law provides greater rights than those described in this policy, the applicable legal requirements will prevail.
21. Changes to This Refund Policy
CareerSetu Pro may update this Refund Policy when payment methods, paid services, operational processes or applicable requirements change.
The current version may be published on this page with an updated revision date.
